RUN RIOT back at it in 2009. A mess of new releases incoming for late Winter/Spring 09, Mutamassik (any day now I’m told), Kitimat, Ysle, LLF and more! A little while back, RRR’s Juan de Fukyah forwarded me a track from Stockholm producer Leoparden that I couldn’t stop playing. It has this fresh vocal sample that modulates in the sickest way. It got me thinking how much I love it when vocals are used really well as harmonic instruments. Shortly after that, Gouseion hit me up with an out-take track from his recent Nijikon LP that had the same effect on me. All of this reminded me of a remix of Praveen & Benoit by Machinedrum that I fucking love for all of the above reasons and a posting was in order.
